Who Sucks? - Unitrin, Inc. Sucks

Unitrin, Inc., is a corporation based in Chicago, Illinois ran by Donald G. Southwell, President. I have an acquaintance, a young single mother and her two disabled children, who had the bad luck to get hit by a person whose vehicle was covered with Unitrin insurance.

To make a long story short, once a Unitrin Specialty claims adjuster discovered that my friend was on the lower end of the economic spectrum she promptly withdrew her existing settlement offer and reduced it to one-third of the original amount. D Andre Lewis-Yhap reduced an injury settlement claim for two disabled children by 66% because she found out they were poor. If you are looking to buy insurance, such as automotive or health, or are an investor looking for a good company my advice would be to keep looking and do not purchase or invest in Unitrin. A person needs to consider how the company will treat children, disabled and healthy alike, as well as those on the lower end of the economic scale.
